Dental health is important for humans and also for dogs. We know cleaning at the vet can cost hundreds of dollars, not to mention the risk of general anesthesia.
This is why it is important to do what you can at home to maintain and protect your dog’s oral health.
Regular brushing with Natural Dog Company Dental Scrub:
- Freshens breath
- Reduces tartar & plaque buildup
- Prevents gum disease
- Prevents tooth decay
- Helps prevent periodontal disease and tooth loss
- Reduces damage to your dog’s internal organs
Dog teeth are meant to be cleansed naturally by chewing on raw meaty bones. Without their natural diet, their gums and teeth are susceptible to decay and tartar buildup. Frequent brushing will help to significantly reduce tartar buildup, ultimately delaying the need for professional vet cleaning.
Toxins from periodontal and other oral diseases are absorbed into your dog’s bloodstream and can damage the heart, kidneys, and liver, which filter the blood.
For this reason, regular toothbrushing is crucial in preventing bacteria in your dog’s mouth from infecting and fatally damaging the internal organs.
As an added bonus, our special blend of essential oils will freshen your dog’s breath and make those sloppy kisses even more enjoyable!
Wet toothbrush and sprinkle on Canine Clean. Gently brush each side for about 20s. Use once a day to promote healthy teeth and gums.
Always make sure that your dog has plenty of fresh water available. If your dog has an existing health condition, such as heart, kidney, or liver problems, please consult your veterinarian before using this product.
Does your dog hate toothbrushing? Here's what to do:
STEP 1: Gently pet and scratch the muzzle, slowly lifting the lip for about 30 seconds. Reward with a treat at the end of the session
STEP 2: Repeat step 1 but this time, gently run your finger over your pet’s teeth for 20-30 seconds. Reward and praise again
STEP 3: Sprinkle a small amount of tooth salt on a moist toothbrush and allow your pet to lick it (not actually brushing yet!)
STEP 4: If all is going well, try actually brushing the teeth. Remember, the upper outer surfaces are the most important. Brush for 20-30 seconds on each side
Tip: You know your pet best. If you can accelerate the process, go ahead. If your pet is resistant at any step, stop and try again another day. Some pets may take a few weeks to get through the steps. If you continue to have difficulty, contact us and we’ll be happy to assist.
Himalayan Sea Salt, Baking Soda (USP Sodium Bicarbonate), Organic Peppermint^, Spearmint*, Organic Cinnamon^, Rosemary CO2^, Organic Neem^ (^essential oils)
These three ingredients have withstood the test of time - sodium bicarbonate (baking soda), sodium chloride (table salt), and essential oils in small quantities.
Sodium Bicarbonate is a simple substance. However, many mass-market baking sodas are contaminated with heavy metals, such as cadmium. Our tooth salt contains real sea salt so that you can get the good minerals that you need, without the heavy metals. Small quantities of plant-based aromatic essential oils are added for freshness, taste, and product enhancement.
