Benefits of Chia

Chia is known to have been a staple in ancient Mesoamerican civilizations such as the Aztec and the Maya. Chia is a superfood full of protein, omega-3 healthy fats, and fibre. It is also exceptionally high in manganese, calcium, and phosphorous. This mint-family seed can be digested whole due to its swelling/gelling action initiated when exposed to liquid, allowing chia to absorb up to 12 times its weight in water. The gelled version helps cleanse the colon by absorbing toxins. It is also well known for its benefits to diabetics because of its assistance in stabilizing blood sugar and improving blood pressure.

All of our raw goat milk comes from a farm in Gaston, OR. 

Serving instruction

The everyday feeding recommendation is 1/2 ounce (~14g) of ChiaFreeze for every 10 pounds (~4.5kg) of body weight. You can feed it with your pet’s meal or in a separate bowl as a treat. This recommendation will help you enhance your dog’s diet with raw nutrition and superfoods on a daily basis. It is safe to feed more when desired. 

Vanillapup note: We feed Latte a teaspoon of ChiaFreeze with warm or room-temperature water after her walks. It helps to keep her hydrated as she doesn't like to drink plain water.
